NYC RALLIES AGAINST PROP H8TE

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Last night over in my hometown New York City there was a huge protest & rally against prop 8 which sadly passed in California last week. I was beyond happy when we got the first black president in the White House, but at the same time was disappointed that while things may be moving forward along the color lines, we still have a long way to go as far as acceptance for people of the same sex. As someone who is against marriage for any one (gay or straight), I feel people should have the right to love who they love and marry who they see fit. Republikkkans have always said they don't want states to get involved in people's affairs. That if you need assistance in life it's due to being lazy and you have to figure out a way to get things in life yourself. It's funny how their agendas change when it suits their own needs.

We gays are not asking for any special treatment - just equal treatment - it's not harming anyone - it just boggles my mind that the many religious freaks in this country think they can control people - please don't get me started on any organized religion - it's all such a big sham - I've never been a religious person (raised catholic - something I would never refer to myself as now) all you need to do is be a good person and follow 'the golden rule' - do unto others as you would have others do unto you - it's a pretty simple concept folks!

Folks hung outside the mormon church located on columbus avenue. What folks don't know is that the church (which promotes having multiple wives, but fucking someone up the ass and rubbing carpet cleaners is a sin) was one of the largest donors behind the campaign of hate! Whoopi Goldberg even showed up to show her support and apparently there will be protests taking place all over the country! I truly believe that in the end justice will prevail and same sex couples will win the right to marry and enjoy equality along with everyone else - even though it's going to be an uphill battle - we're totally in this for the long run! So remember kiddies, continue to fight for what you believe in. Equality for all people!
