SEX & THE CITY: THE YOUNGER GENERATION

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Now this is a good idea. Word on the street is that Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell is working on a pair of teen novels about Carrie Bradshaw's life in High School. The book is due sometime in 2010.

The book, titled "The Carrie Diaries," will give fans of the popular tv series an insight into how the fashionista got her start. I still can't get past how an advice columnist for a fashion magazine can afford $500.00 Manolo Blahnics on her salary?

The books will revolve around the friendships and romances of a teenage Carrie, and the pursuit of her dream to be a writer. According to Bushnell in a statement released by her publisher, high school is where Carrie began "observing and commenting on the social scene." And as expected, she "did not follow the crowd - she led it."

If 90210 doesn't survive this season, I can totally see this as a series for the CW. Who would be a good young Carrie if it does become a show?
