Since performing the exclusive new track during the VMA's last week, Kanye West stated he was planning to release a new version of his single “Love Lockdown.” Now the new version which features “taiko drums” (as Kanye said on his blog). In my opinion this is a risky song to release as a first single simply because it's not your standard hip hop mainstream track. It's moreless what I would call an artsy avant-garde type of track. I definitely applaud Kanye for taking risks when it comes to his music. This ladies and gentlemen is how you maintain longevity in this business.
