GOSSIP GIRL BRINGS THE HEAT

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The Fall season between the CW and FOX kicked off last night, and the scandalicious GOSSIP GIRL definitely delivered the goods! The second season premiere of Gossip Girl on Monday night got the show's highest ratings ever for them in all key demographics.

GG was able to return with a 6% increase in adult viewers since its premiere last yer. And it was also up 10% among the network's key demographics, people between 18-34. GG also served as a strong lead-in to One Tree Hill. OTH's numbers were also up compared to its last season premiere.

Big numbers for CW are also expected tonight with the premiere of the much talked about 90210 and America's Next Top Model which kicks off it's premiere tomorrow. With the hypation of a tranny addition to the cast, I'm sure they're hoping will kick up the ratings a notch.

FOX also premiered PRISON BREAK last night against GG. The show was down 21% from last year. Hopefully the ratings of PB will not affect TERMINATOR: SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES when it premieres after PB next week. And NBC's Deal or No Deal came close in the ratings. They also finally managed to give away $1 million. Is anyone still watching that show?

CW has no competition tonight, so 90210 is a shoo-in for BIG ratings!
