DANNY BOYLE TALKS 28 DAYS LATER THREEQUEL

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Director Danny Boyle recently sat down with MTV movie blog to talk to the press about a threequel in the 28 Days Later saga.

"There's a bit of discussion going on about it at the moment," Boyle, out promoting Slumdog Millionaire, tells MTV. "I have an idea for it [but] I've got to present it and see what people think really because it might be silly really."

MTV queries about the setting of the next film and Boyle skirts the question with an air of mystery, however, anyone who has seen 28 Weeks Later is well aware the Juan Carlos Fresnadillo-directed installment leaves the door open to a number of possibilities.

28 Weeks Later, which opened in May of '07, grossed a worldwide take of $64 million. $28.6 million of that was domestic.

Fox has faced a tough battle with horror this year. Most of their genre pictures fizzled. Perhaps it's time to rely on something familiar...Or maybe cook up a new idea and make less bloodless remakes geared for a PG-13 audience. I'd actually like to see another sequel to 28 Days. I loved both movies. What do you guys think?
