Andre 3000 recently spoke to Rolling Stone about his upcoming solo project. According to Rolling Stone, the other half of Outkast says “It should be dropping by the end of this year or early next year,” continuing, “I’ve pretty much been working by myself.” Andre 3000 has been featured in songs from John Legend, Fonzworth Bentley, Rich Boy, DJ Unk and UGK recently but now he says he is going to cut back on collaborations, saying “I’ve never really been that big on collaboration,” he said. “I have a concept, and all the soundscapes are already in my head, so I just have to figure out how to get there. I’ve learned that I’m most powerful when I’m doing my art.” In related news, Andre 3000 will return to the big screen in the new movie “Battle In Seattle.” The new movie hitting theatres tomorrow co-stars Woody Harrelson, Ray Liotta and Charlize Theron. Andre 3000 plays an activist during 1999’s Word Trade Organization summit.
