My prayers have been answered! Shannen Doherty may be returning to 90210.
Multiple sources have confirmed to an Entertainment Weekly columnist that the controversial star, 37, has met with producers to reprise her role as Brenda Walsh on CW's 90210 spin-off.
In addition to wanting more money, "she wants to know what the story is going to be," according to the report.
Hell, I'd like to know what the story is going to be. Is the CW shelling out FOX money??? Nearly 300,000 people voted to bring Doherty back in a recent Usmagazine.com poll.
Doherty's casting could raise some eyebrows considering that she clashed with original 90210 co-stars Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling, who have both signed on to return. According to Tori, she got along with Shannen. Hell, she was probably the only one.
In her 2007 memoir So NoTORIous, Spelling wrote of Doherty and Garth: "Sometimes they got along, but there were explosions. Once they got into a fistfight."
Garth now tells EW, "A lot of time has passed, and I'm a big girl. I'd have no problem with her coming on the show." Of course not. You both are in dire need of a job. let's just hope Shannen had mellowed out over the years, and is not acting like the wild child she used to be. You are too old to be acting like Naomi Campbell. Hell, Naomi Campbell is too old to be acting like Naomi Campbell. What do you guys think of Shannen returning???
I at least hope the return of the 90210 vets doesn't overshadow the new generation and their storylines just because you're trying to bring ratings to the CW.
The CW's spin-off debuts this fall.
