I'm sure you're all aware that there is a remake of my favorite horror film A Nightmare on Elm Street in the works. I've already bitched at the fact that Hollyweird is doing this, but what can I do? I don't have the power or resources to stop them. But we may be able to stop this. a handful of Tara Reid's hardcore fans started a petition to persuade producers (Platinum Dunes) of the upcoming remake that Tara is the woman for a lead role.
Well, hardcore horror fans have decided to fight back and have started a petition to keep her off the film.
It reads:
To: Platinum Dunes
We feel young hollywood actress Tara Reid DOES NOT deserves a role in the upcoming Platinum Dunes remake of A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. After starring in ALONE IN THE DARK back in 2005, we feel that her career has gone south and her presence would not only hurt the quality, but the success of the film - which would hurt the horror genre in the long run.
