Janet Jackson Blames Her Album's FLOPPING On Def Jam

Bsed on recent soundscan numbers, I'm sure everyone knows that Janet's latest "Discipline" flopped faster than Denise Richards reality show (as did her last two cd's). Here's what Janet recently told hip hop website Sohh.com on why she thinks her cd flopped:

"That’s pretty difficult to say, only because of the record label at this point. We started off with “Feedback” and the label and myself haven’t quite seen eye to eye since the "Feedback" single so they’ve kind of basically stopped all promotion. I’m trying to figure out a way to say this, but just to say it and to be quite honest, they just stopped all promotion whatsoever on the album so I don’t think you’re going to hear another single off this album."

Truth be told, most of the music on Janet's latest is what I would call outdated. it's basically shit Britney did four years ago. I just get frustrated with Janet at times. it seems musically, she plays it safe. She didn't write any of the songs on this cd (whis I don't think is a bad thing because Janet's written many hits) and from the music to the choreography, it's pretty much Janet doingthe same thing over and over. She needs new choreographers, and new producers (you need inspiration far from Jermaine Dupri & Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis). I just think she should go on tour, take a few years off after she is done with Discipline, and come back young fresh and new like Madgezilla has done her entire career.
