Earlier today, there were rumors going around that after alot of hype and a mediocre first season, Gossip Girl was about to get a spin-off. But now Gossip Girl creator Josh Schwartz (The O.C.) has said the spinoff rumors are FALSE.
Schwarts says, "Not sure how this got out there, but no plans for spinoff at this moment. The books do have a spinoff, but we have nothing in the works right now other than making sure season two gets off to a great start."
I'm sure it's only a matter of time before there will be a spin-off. I think GG has to concentrate on a better second season and then they can concentrate on spinning off the show.
