BROADWAY HEADS TO THE DARK SIDE

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I have some GREAT news! A $10 million musical adaptation of The Addams Family is heading to the stage. It's supposed to emerge around the 2009-2010 season.

Word is that Tony winner Bebe Neuwirth (Frasier's Lilith, the principal in The Faculty and Velma in Chicago on Broadway) has signed on to play Morticia.

Not only is the casting of BeBe good news, but word on the street is that renowned stage veteran Nathan Lane has been offered the role of Gomez.

He hasn't signed on the dotted line as of yet, but insiders say the deal should be finalized this week.

Hopefully, The Addams clan won't suffer the same quick death as Cry Baby did.
