Whether you like it or not, the Platinum Dunes remake of FRIDAY THE 13TH is coming fast! Recently, it was announced that Nana Visitor, who played Major Kira on STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE, and had a recurring role on the Jessica Alba tv series "Dark Angel" will be the new Pamela Voorhees. At the recent Starfest show in Denver, she told fans that a cast of her head has already been made for the film. For those of you whom has seen the original FRIDAY THE 13TH, (yes, the one where Jason's mother was the killer) you already know the fate of Mrs. Voorhees. (Psst. She gets decapitated!) Arlen Escarpeta has also recently been cast in a lead role for FRIDAY THE 13TH along side already announced cast members Jared Padalecki, Amanda Righetti and Danielle Panabaker. Derek Mears plays Jason Voorhees. The flick is set for a release date of Friday February 13, 2009!
